GET and Tower fuse sales operation
2005 was an eventful year for Tower Manufacturing, including the successful relocation of the Tower sales office within its parent company GET's Head Quarters in Potters Bar. In January 2006 Tower saw further integration as both Tower and GET plc product ranges merged as one single sales office function.
So what's the immediate advantage to the customer? Firstly the integration of the two sales office teams will certainly streamline administration with the introduction of one order, one delivery note and thus one invoice. It will result in easier carriage paid values for customers simultaneously ordering products from both company catalogues, it will simplify administration and therefore provide a more efficient, seamless delivery service for stockists.
Tower's Sales Manager, Colin Fletcher is keen to emphasis that customers' local contacts and field sales advisors will still be there to provide their regular hands-on service:
"Contact with Area Sales Managers will remain the same for both GET and Tower but now customers will only need to remember one tele-sales number. We are confident that this initiative will prove to be of great benefit to our customers whilst streamlining our own administration systems."
To coincide with these changes Colin Fletcher will now takes over responsibility for GET and Tower marketing activity, another positive move to cultivate healthy integration:
"This is a challenge I shall really enjoy. Having worked for Tower for 14 years I understand the marketplace and hope to utilise that knowledge to promote the wider product portfolio to the industry. My colleague, Mike Bancroft, who has been GET Marketing Manager for 8 years, is also taking up a new challenge as Business Development Manager for the GET group of companies."
